Health Commentary provides a range of informational open source resources for educational use with proper attribution. One of those resources is our Collections section prominently displayed on the toolbar above. In the collection, you will find series on aging, technology, and obesity. You can also access a curriculum on Advanvced Professionalism and 188 annotated public health programs from the Health Politics archive. This week we add a new offering – “The Forerunner Collection: Alternate Futures in Health Care”.
In this collection, you will find a series of 11 addresses delivered by Mike Magee over the past decade. They include addresses before leaders of the World Medical Association and World Health Assembly in Geneva in 2002 on the evolving patient-physician relationship; a post- 9/11 speech to Coast Guard leadership in New London, CT defining the differences between positive and negative leaders in 2004; a health care visions speech at the AMA Presidents Forum in 2006; the 2009 opening address at the Water Environment Federation on the Planetary Patient; an IOM critique on the “Medical Home” in 2009; the “New Beginnings” speech at Duke Divinity School in 2010 and much more.
We encourage you to access this collection and to share it with students, faculty, trustees and leaders in your community.
