Amy Gagliardi is a maternal-child health specialist and a published writer, researcher, lecturer, advocate and health care worker.   The primary focus of her work is woman’s health before, during and after pregnancy and how this relates to birth outcomes and the health and development of children. Amy is a fellow at the Edward Zigler Center for Child Development and Social Policy, Child Study Center, Yale School of Medicine and is an officer for “Lily’s Kids Inc. -- A Non-Profit Organization for Children.” She is currently writing a book, “To Give to the Light,” which chronicles her work with low income pregnant women and the health care system. She lives in Connecticut with her husband Peter and their four children, Peter, Lily, Aurora and Faith.
