Sidney Gottlieb, MD, is Director of Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic Canada.  He is a cardiologist specializing in all areas of consultative cardiology and cardiovascular disease prevention.  Dr. Gottlieb is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

He received his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia with magna cum laude honors, and completed his medical and cardiology fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.  His received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Yale University.

Dr. Gottlieb served on the full-time faculty in the Division of Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital for 8 years as Interventional Cardiologist, with academic appointments of Associate Professor of Medicine at both Johns Hopkins University and University of Maryland School of Medicine.  He was the founding Director of the Ciccarone Preventive Cardiology Program at Johns Hopkins.  He was a founding Partner, President and Director of Clinical Research of Midatlantic Cardiovascular Associates in Baltimore, Maryland, which is one of the largest and most innovative and successful cardiology practices in the U.S.

 Dr Gottlieb has been involved in academic and clinical cardiology practice for 22 years before moving to Toronto.  He has extensive experience in all areas of clinical cardiology, has been a clinical investigator on many worldwide clinical trials and is the author of more than 100 scientific articles in major peer-reviewed medical journals.
