Why is this website called Health Commentary?

The site encourages diverse opinions and discussion about health care

"Health Commentary” offers weekly views by health care advocate and leader Mike Magee, MD – but it also brings together diverse voices in health care for their opinions and ideas. Commentary from all citizens is important if we are to achieve true health system reform in the United States.

What is Health Politics?

A series of educational videos on health care hosted by Dr. Magee

Dr. Magee served as host of “Health Politics,” a popular Internet-based health care program, from 2003 to 2007. Dr. Magee no longer produces new shows for Health Politics, but content at the site continues to be available as a weekly program. The homepage is being updated each week with one of the 182 programs in the Health Politics archives. You can still subscribe to the program to receive an email alert when the homepage is updated, or we encourage you to access and use the Health Politics archives directly. Each program in the archives includes a video, a transcript, related links, a downloadable mp3 audio file, and discussion guide questions, among other educational and informative tools.
