HealthCommentary

Exploring Human Potential

Classroom Use

Health Commentary provides an excellent resource for teachers at both the high school and college level. All of our materials can be used in class or assigned to students. Health Commentary offers a video, annotated transcript and related web links on a new health care topic each week. Programs in the Health Politics archives (available at www.mikemagee.org)  include a video accompanied  a transcript and a list of other links to more information. Students are also invited to actively post their comments on the site. Teachers interested in becoming a Guest Correspondents, and involving their students for the semester, can contact Dr. Magee at [email protected] for details. If selected, a teacher may be granted Guest Correspondent status and be able to dynamically involve her/his class in this unique new media space. Projects may include topic specific classroom dialogue and debate, issues of the day primary reporting, outreach community health activism, health research, graphic and visual arts projects with health impact, and in-depth reporting.
